Overview
IMC Flutter is a Body Mass Index (BMI) calculator. You enter your weight and height and get your BMI in seconds, along with what it means for your health and the ideal weight for your body.
What the app does
- Quick BMI calculation from weight and height.
- Result interpretation: shows which weight range the BMI falls into and what it means.
- Ideal weight based on the result.
- Settings: light or dark theme and units of measurement.
- History of BMI changes over time.
Technical decisions
- Provider for state management, including the theme and unit preferences.
- SharedPreferences to persist settings and history on the device.
- Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics to catch crashes and understand usage, as you would in a production app.
- share_plus, url_launcher and launch_review for sharing results and asking for a store review.
- icons_launcher to generate the app icons for each platform.
